Includes: Front or Back plate (Single Plate). Shooters Cut. Predator Armor - Level III Body Armor. Constructed from ballistic steel (0.25"" thickness) these plates provide Level III protection based upon NIJ 0101.06 standards. Predator Armor Level III Body Armor is manufactured in the U.S. using ballistic grade steel and has the option for a Kevlar lined spall and fragmentation protective layer.
Predator Armor's plates use a unique heat-treating, quenching and tempering process that results in an extra hardened steel. Predator Armor plates are lightweight, impact-resistant steel that hold superior ballistic properties. This allows them to use thinner plates without sacrificing protection levels.
Predator Armor's ballistic steel plate is tested to NIJ standards. All of their plates come with a base coat that aesthetically enhances the plate as well as provides durable characteristics. This coating does not provide fragmentation mitigation. You have the option to add Kevlar lining to your plate. This provides anti spall and frag characteristics. It also enhances the performance of your plate. If your carrier does not have anti frag characteristics it is strongly advised to include the Kevlar lining.
Predator Armor's Testing Target is a smaller cut from the same material as the Level III Plates. It is an add on item you can order with your plates and test the body armor out for yourself. We guarantee our plates will meet the Level III standards. Add a test plate to your order and try it yourself. If it does not meet the standards we will refund your order.
